About Seekers and Believers
Seekers and Believers is a non-denominational, Bible based, Christian teaching and life coaching ministry. The resources of this website are provided to give our readers and contributors a place of christian community to encourage and support one another and to help all of us grow in our personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
About Our Ministry
Seekers and Believers is a multi-faceted ministry with the goal of providing information to help individuals learn about God, come to know and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and then enter into a real and growing personal relationship with God that will lead to a life of freedom, peace and contentment. All of the teaching and life coaching resources at Seekers and Believers come from various sources and contributors and are free and available for use and can be copied and distributed by all who visit. We are a faith based ministry and all costs associated with this website are paid for by its contributors and visitors as they see fit. We never ask for nor charge for anything here at Seekers and Belivers.
About Our Beliefs
All of the foundational beliefs held by all of the contributors here at Seekers and Believers are Bible based and summarized as follows:
The Bible: We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. We believe that the Bible contains Gods complete and final revelation to mankind and in its original writings is without error and can be fully trusted. We believe that the Bible provides us with a clear understanding of God and fully reveals God’s nature, character and plan for mankind. We believe that we can test the validity of the Bible by studying the fulfilled prophecies where we will find that God did and continues to reveal future events with 100% accuracy. Fulfilled prophecy gives us undeniable evidence for trusting that the Bible is God’s word and his word can be trusted 100%.
God: We believe that the Bible teaches, both in the Old and New Testaments, that God is a Triune or Plural being (commonly referred to as the Trinity) who has eternally existed in three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit. While the concept of God, as described in the Bible, is a difficult if not impossible concept to intellectually understand, it is one that can be accepted by faith based on the reliability of God’s word, the Bible. Because the Bible is accurate and what it reveals can be trusted, what it says about God can be trusted.
Salvation: We believe that Salvation is a gift of God’s grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Christ’s death fully accomplished justification through faith and redemption from sin. Christ died in our place and bore our sins in His own body. We believe salvation is received by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Good works and obedience are results of salvation, not requirements for salvation
Eternal Security: We believe that all those who have truly received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are eternally secure in salvation, kept by God’s power, secured and sealed in Christ forever. We believe that just as salvation cannot be earned by good works, neither does it need good works to be maintained or sustained. Good works and changed lives are the inevitable results of salvation not the requirement for salvation. We believe that once you have truly received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior there is nothing you can do to lose your salvation because it is God who keeps you safe and secure.
Personal Relationship: We believe that a very real and tangible personal relationship with God is not only available to every born again Christian but that after salvation, this is the foundation of God's plan for your life. Unlike Salvation, which is a free gift from God based solely on faith, we believe that this personal relationship with God, just like all human personal relationships requires work and effort on the part of the born again Christian. We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, teach us how to have a real, tangible and growing personal relationship with God.
The Church: We believe that the Chruch is not a building or religious group but is a spiritual organism made up of all the born again believers throughout the world since the time of Christ's finished work on the cross. The only requirement for admission into the one true Christian Chruch is that you have put all of your trust and faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Theology: We subscribe to a literal, historical, grammatical interpretation of scripture. We follow what is referred to as a pre-tribulation, pre-millineal, dispensational system of Theology.
